Biochemical Meeting 2017 is a specially designed cluster conference. The main theme of the conference is " Emerging technologies and scientific advancements in Chemical Engineering and its Applications " which covers a wide range of critically important sessions. The global chemical industry was valued at US $4.7 trillion (including pharmaceuticals) in 2011. It is projected to register a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 4.4 percent from 2011 through 2020, and become US $6.9 trillion. The chemical sector has witnessed growth of 13-14% in the last 5 years while petrochemicals have registered a growth of 8-9% over the same period. Revenue from trade of oil and oil products represented close to half of the regional Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2011. Asia Pacific (APAC) would lead the growth with an estimated CAGR of 5.8 percent during the period. The Middle East, along with Africa, would trail APAC growth during the period and is estimated to reach US $263 billion by 2020.
