Creating a Social Media Policy for Your Law Firm and Clients (MCLE credit) For a law firm, social media can be used as so many others do, for promotion, but there is also the overriding need to use extreme caution while considering potential legal ethics issues. Social media is such a part of everyone's lives now that firms must set internal policy to avoid any unintentional issues that might affect their reputation, client confidentiality, case management, and potentially create a legal ethics dilemma.
Identification of the 9 Key Areas of social media related to the practice of law and a law firm's public and private faces, with particular focus on the pitfalls for law firms and their clients, leading to practical solutions to develop a social media policy that can affect client confidentiality, conflict of interest issues, case management, how it relates to professional conduct and other workplace policies and impact firm reputation management. In addition, this seminar will provide some basis for attorneys to advise their own clients on such policies.
Who will be there? Professionals who want to socialize, entrepreneurs, business owners, attorneys, bankers, real estate developers, technology gurus, sales and marketing experts and other professionals, along with others to socialize and meet new people.
