This is my first solo art show in ten years. It's my first also since getting involved with Firehouse Art Collective 3-4 years ago. I've been doing cat art groups shows for three straight years so I thought, do something different. I was working on a spray painting of a cat recently, and I liked it. It was kind of cubist looking so I thought, I love cubism! So I want to make a bunch of cubist style paintings for this show. Yes, I know, Picasso is really the founder of cubism. But I'm kind of a weird artist. I thought it would be fun if I re-invented it in my style. Now that I think back on it, I should have made made up some ism-word instead. But I didn't. So that's where I'm at. I think the greatest artist ever is Tamara De Lempicka. I think she kind of did her own cool thing with a cubist look to her art. Whatever! I've been brooding lately. Ruminating. My dreams have taken me down. I want this art show to lift spirits. Insanity doesn't always have to be something dreadful. Sometimes it just is. I like my art representational. I like recovery meetings. I'm not crazy. I'm addicted to painting.
