Info:
Are you struggling to create a living as an artist? Please join us for The Art of Commerce - Creating a Living as an Artist on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, 11am-1pm at Impact HUB Oakland. In this workshop, we'll explore how to balance art and commerce, both practically and artistically. We'll also discuss the creativity found in entrepreneurship and how things that could seem like "work" are actually fertile grounds for creativity.
Uptima Business Bootcamp will be hosting Brian Bergeron, Co-founder of Ivy Hill Entertainment. Brian Bergeron has supported himself through musical performance for most of the last decade, first as a street performer and college touring artist in the northeast, and most recently through private events, farmers markets, restaurants, bars and wineries in California. Brian has released a number of recordings both under his name and with Oakland-based electro-acoustic band Mr. Kind. With Ivy Hill Entertainment, Brian bonds the perspectives of artist, entrepreneur and consumer, honed through supporting himself at over 400 gigs in the last 4 years, including over 100 weddings and private events.
