Singers Marin (Choral Singers of Marin) is pleased to announce its 30th anniversary performance, "Tis the Season. . . Peace on Earth." The concert features special guest, Nashville Country Music singer, banjo player and Singers Marin alumna Lockwood Barr. Ms. Barr's recent successes include a Country Music Association Emerging Artist recognition and an Independent Country Music Association Award as banjo player for bluegrass group The Nashvegas Ramblers.
Since its founding in 1987 by Jan Pedersen Schiff, Singers Marin has been providing singers of all ages, from 4 years to 84 the opportunity to experience the joy of making music together and bringing that joy to the community through its outreach program and public concerts.
In recognition of the chosen concert theme of "Peace on Earth," Ms. Barr will perform "Someday at Christmas," originally recorded by Stevie Wonder and "Happy Xmas" (War is Over) by John Lennon and Yoko Ono.
