On Saturday, April 28 at 10:30am, we welcome back Friction Quartet to our stage. This award winning young ensemble will introduce musical concepts to audiences of all ages, while taking listeners on a journey that spans across multiple decades and genres. From pieces by classical masters like Beethoven and Debussy, to modern pop hits by Justin Timberlake and Justin Bieber, this concert truly offers something for everyone to enjoy. This is not your typical string quartet!
PROGRAM: "Can't stop the feeling" by Justin Timberlake Tapas I. One, by Marc Mellits Selections from Reflection Nebulae by Gabriella Smith Selections from The Still Dancers by Piers Hellawell Map of Reality, movement V, by Melissa Hui "Where are U now" by Justin Bieber, Skrillex, Jack U plus, selections of classical works by Beethoven, Dvorak, and Debussy
Doors open: 10AM Performance: 10:30AM
The performance lasts approximately 45-minutes and is suitable for all ages. Coffee will be provided, as well as kid friendly snacks, and each child will receive coloring materials related to the music to work on as they listen.
TICKETS are $15-$40 ($15 per person, $40 family pass for up to 4 people, FREE for kids 2 and under.)
Our Classical Kids series features some of the Bay Area's most talented musicians who know how to keep young audiences engaged with bite-sized portions of classical music in the warm and comfortable setting of Noe Valley Ministry. Each concert is designed to bring kids and parents together in a casual but educational environment that both entertains and engages. These interactive performances give children the opportunity to get up close and personal with exceptionally talented musicians and their fascinating instruments. We will present three concerts this season in March, April, and June.
