Symphony for Veterans: Swords to Plowshares, the Bay Area's leading services and advocacy nonprofit for veterans, is proud to host the 2nd Annual Summer Solstice Symphony Concert at the historic Herbst Theatre. Reserve your seat for a joyous evening of music by Symphonia Caritas, a professional orchestra that plays to improve the lives of those in need. Conducted by Symphonia Caritas Musical Director Paul Schrage, the concert will feature Mozart's Overture to Marriage of Figaro, Prokofiev's Classical Symphony, and Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 2 in F Minor. Symphonia Caritas welcomes to the stage accomplished solo pianist Jeffrey LaDeur, who has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and the Smithsonian.
All proceeds will be directed to the critical housing, legal and supportive services Swords to Plowshares provides to nearly 3,000 low-income and homeless veterans.
