"Diversity Management: Where To From Here" with Dr. Roosevelt Thomas, Jr.
Program Overview Dr. Roosevelt Thomas argues that the field of diversity is stuck on ensuring representation and enhancing interpersonal relationships and he will identify for you the factors that have caused this circumstance.
Utilizing a “four-quadrant approach” to workforce diversity, Dr. Roosevelt looks at alternatives for moving the field beyond being stuck. He will specifically offer some concepts and definitions that provide hope for future progress.
In addition, Dr. Thomas will compare two paradigms: “The Integrated Community” and “Strategic Diversity Management.” He contends that sustainable progress with diversity in organizations and communities will require adoption of both frameworks. Otherwise, in his view, the field of diversity management likely will remain stuck.
