Since forming in 2010, the Neave Trio - violinist Anna Williams, cellist Mikhail Veselov, and pianist Eri Nakamura - has earned enormous praise for its engaging, cutting-edge performances. WQXR explains, "'Neave' is actually a Gaelic name meaning 'bright' and 'radiant,' both of which certainly apply to this trio's music making."
The Neave Trio is presented by the International Music Foundation's Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concerts, and will perform Debussy's Trio in G major and selections from Piazzolla's Estaciones Portenas. The Debussy Trio is featured on Neave Trio's sophomore album French Moments (Chandos Records), which was released in June. In November 2018, they will release another album featuring the music of Astor Piazzolla (Azica Records), including Estaciones Portenas. The concert is free and open to the public and will be broadcast live on WFMT 98.7 FM and streamed live at www.wfmt.com.
