Tori Anna brings a stunning new show to the Firehouse Arts Center Theater in Pleasanton. The Area favorite, Michael Feinstein Great American Songbook Alum, and American Idol veteran is in the spotlight again, this time with a cabaret-style tribute to America's sweetheart Doris Day. Along with the incomparable Mike Greensill on piano, Tori takes a "sentimental journey" through her favorite Doris Day songs including Secret Love, Teacher's Pet and the classic Que Sera Sera.
Presented in association with Bay Area's award-winning ESSES Productions.
Doris Day is known as one of America's most successful Box Office stars throughout the 1950s and 1960s. However, her career really began as a Big Band singer with her first hit recording coming in 1945 with "Sentimental Journey." She recorded more than 650 songs from 1947 to 1967, which made her one of the most popular and acclaimed singers of the 20th century. Among her awards, Day has received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award and a Legend Award from the Society of Singers.
