Shake off your winter blues with a joyful night of performance, dance, food and fun at the Osher Marin JCC's first of the 2019 Winter Nights Indoor Multi-Cultural Music Series.
The Kanbar Center for the Performing Arts invites you to visit India through the beautiful culture, rhythm, sounds and flavors of the country. Dholrhythms Dance Company performs a joyful dance production telling the story of women in the villages of Punjab, India. Beautiful dancing woven together with music, visuals, props, narration, live drumming and song light the stage.
The performance leads into dance instruction from the troupe followed by the dancers creating a fun, casual dance party on the floor for all, accompanied by live dhol drummers. Free bindi's at the door, Indian food, henna painting, beautiful costumes and the post-performance Bollywood style dance party will immerse you in the culture of India.
