Did you know most beer is kosher by default based on the ingredients? Yes, it's true. The one catch is that not all breweries can have a rabbi regularly supervise the production for an official designation, but the majority of beers can be considered "kosher-style." Let's celebrate craft beer coming of age at a "Beer Mitzvah" on Sunday, April 28, from 1:00 - 5:00 pm, at Temple Israel in Alameda, CA.

Your eyes are not deceiving you this is an incredible line-up. Admission price is $36 and enables attendees to unlimited pours to taste incredible beer that is kosher-style or kashrut, as well as two very popular, locally crafted hard ciders. Attendees also get to vote for their favorite beer at the event in a contest to determine "The Chosen One." Don't miss out!

Donations support Temple Israel's school and programs as it begins to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2020.
