Enjoy an evening of song and stories from Scotland's beloved man-child, Alan Cumming. He will be joined onstage by his Emmy-winning musical director Lance Horne and cellist Eleanor Norton.
Alan has performed to sell-out audiences across the globe and recently reprised his legendary performance of the Emcee in "Cabaret" on Broadway for which he won the Tony and every other available award when he made his debut in 1998. He also completed his sixth season as Eli Gold in the CBS hit drama "The Good Wife," for which he was nominated for multiple Golden Globe, Emmy SAG, Critics' Choice and Satellite awards.
Alan is beyond eclectic. Beloved all over the world for his range of iconic performances in movies, TV and theatre, he is also the author of the recent New York Times bestselling memoir, "Not My Father's Son," an award-winning recording artist and a writer, director, producer and photographer. He has appeared in blockbuster films such as "X2: X Men United," "Spy Kids" and "Romy and Michele's High School Reunion" as well as independent movies like "Sweet Land," for which he won the Independent Spirit award and "Any Day Now" which won him acting honors around the world. He hosts "Masterpiece Mystery" on PBS.
Alan's recent performance in "Cabaret" came fresh on the heels of his astounding, tour de force, one-man "Macbeth." He has performed in concerts around the world, including at Lincoln Center in NYC, the Sydney Opera House and the Vaudeville Theatre in London's West End.
For his humanitarian work and activism he has been honored by many organizations including the Matthew Shepard Foundation, the Trevor Project, GLAAD and AmFar, as well as being made an OBE (Officer of the British Empire) for his work in the arts and in the field of LGBT rights in the Queen's Honours list in 2009. His most recent accolade was the unveiling of his portrait at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery.
