Northwest Kidney Centers will raise money for charity care and services that support patients and their families at its 17th annual Breakfast of Hope Thursday, May 9, 2019. Keynote speaker will be Lenny Wilkens, superstar basketball player-coach, activist and philanthropist.
As one of two people inducted in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame as both a player and a coach, Wilkens is an authority on how to perform at a high level in the face of adversity, echoing the values of Northwest Kidney Centers, where every person who thrives on dialysis is likely surrounded by a team of family members, friends and caregivers who cheer them on and share the load of kidney treatment and everyday living.
Northwest Kidney Centers Breakfast of Hope will run from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. at the Westin Seattle, 1900 Fifth Ave. The event is free to attend thanks to underwriting from sponsors, and a minimum $150 donation is requested. To register, visit https://www.nwkidney.org/breakfastreg/ or call 206-720-8585.
