Filitalia International and Foundation, along with support from East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District, presents “La Festa Street Festival" on Sunday, June 2, 2019, from 11:00am to 7:00pm. Head to East Passyunk (between Broad and Moore) for this all-day, all-ages street festival that features the always anticipated spaghetti eating contest, live music, dancing, food, beer, wine, contests, prizes, family fun, vendors, shopping, wine-making demos, vodka water ice, and culinary displays. For family fun, look for children’s games, moon bounce, trampoline, orbitron, duck pond, trackless train rides, water gun fun, soccer games, face painting, yoga and more. Vendors and restaurants this year include Chhaya, D'Abruzzo NYC, Esposito's Porchetta, Isabella pizza, Isgros Bakery, Mamma Maria Ristorante, Noir Philadelphia, Nomad Pizza, Pistola's Del Sur, P'unk Burger, Stogie Joe's Tavern, Locust Lane Craft Brewery, Original 13 Ciderworks, New Liberty Distillery, Tildie’s Toy Box, Deja 42, Eastern Pass Tattoo Co., Occasionette, Nicole Rae Styer Boutique, and many others. Since its inception in 2010, this fun-filled celebration welcomes thousands of attendees who love and look forward to celebrating Italian culture and heritage in South Philadelphia. Admission is free, with food and drink pay-as-you-go. La Festa is rain or shine. All proceeds from La Festa benefit programs of Filitalia International and The History of Italian Immigration Museum.
