Info:
Broadway "piano man" Kyle Martin brings his high-energy tribute to the music of legendary performers Elton John and Billy Joel to the Firehouse Arts Center Theater in Pleasanton. The show's set list includes classic hits "Uptown Girl," "Tiny Dancer," "New York State of Mind," "Philadelphia Freedom," and many more.
Bay Area audiences will remember Martin from his sold-out performances in "The World of Webber" which debuted at Pleasanton's Firehouse Arts Center in 2013 to standing ovations.
Kyle Martin first made a name for himself with both Broadway and Rock fans when he was hand-picked to star as the piano man in both the 2nd and 3rd National Tours of Broadway's Billy Joel/Twyla Tharp Tony Award-winning musical "MOVIN' OUT." Unlike a traditional musical, that show is essentially is a series of dances linked by a thin plot, and none of the dancers sing. All the vocals are performed by the pianist (Martin) and band suspended on a platform above the stage while the dancers act out the narrative without dialogue, making the show, in essence, a rock ballet. Kyle out-performed over 30,000 people to nab the coveted role, and reviews like "Dynamic," "Spectacular," and "A piano player with a touch like Billy Joel," are just some of many accolades he received along his journey.
Performed in intimate cabaret concert style, this concert is part of the Firehouse Cabaret Series, produced by the Bay Area's award-winning Esses Productions.
