Kathy Mata Ballet invites you to attend our annual End of Summer Showcase performance in the beautiful, state of-the-art theater at Mercy High School, in San Francisco, CA.
The program will present classical and contemporary ballet pieces, incorporating many different dance styles, including modern, lyrical fusion, musical theater, character, and featuring our most recent versions of "Barcarole," as well as "Just Another Ordinary Day," our musical suite with the addition of a new number to Leonard Bernstein's New York, New York, from the musical On The Town, choreographed or arranged and rehearsed by our company ballet mistress and dancer, Sachiko Kwan.
Some dance pieces will be performed to live accompaniment by our music director and accompanist, Lucy Hudson, and by fellow accompanist, Michael Dolman.
In addition, a guest speaker from the office of Leland Yee may also join us at this event.
Admission is free, although donations are welcomed. All proceeds support company expenses, such as renting rehearsal and performance space. We look forward to seeing you at the show!
