Due to popular demand, Kathy Mata Ballet is proud to announce its November Encore Performance on Sunday, November 3rd at 3:30pm, which will take place in studio 1 on the fifth floor of the Alonzo King LINES Dance Center, San Francisco. This performance will feature works from Kathy Mata Ballet's annual theater showcase last August (some with accompaniment by music director/accompanist, Lucy Hudson and accompanist Michael Dolman), plus exciting new pieces!
Highlights will include:
- "A Sense of it All", a dramatic story ballet choreographed for the entire company which depicts a fragmented relationship, innocence, and the decisions we make in order to discover what we think is happiness. Music by Chopin and Schumann, accompanied by Lucy Hudson, company pianist and music director.
- Musical pieces such as old-time favorites "New York New York", "Fly Me to the Moon" and "Cabaret"
- Original solos, duets, and guest performances ranging from classical to modernand much, much more!
Admission is free, although donations are welcomed. All proceeds support the company's mission to provide free performances for seniors.
