Bay Area rock 'n roll icon Greg Kihn along with friend and progressive rock hit-man Robert Berry come to the Firehouse Arts Center Theater in downtown Pleasanton on Saturday, November 23, at 8:00 p.m. (no opener). Part of "The Storytellers Tour," the concert features lively stories of Jagger, Springsteen, The Stones, Ozzy & Black Sabbath, and a wide range of selections from Kihn's vast catalog.
Greg Kihn naked? Well, not really, but he will be "stripped of all modern conveniences" notes manager Skyler Turtle. Accompanied by Robert Berry, the duo combines incredible guitar skills with masterful harmonies for a rare intimate concert performance.
As a pioneer with the legendary Beserkley Records, Greg Kihn helped write the book on revolutionary west coast rock and roll. He tours the world, has hit records, and has won numerous awards for his songs Jeopardy, The Breakup Song (They Don't Write 'Em Like That), Lucky, Happy Man, and Reunited among others.
With his 30-year career playing side by side with many of Prog and Rock music's elite, Robert Berry also has a huge storehouse of tales to tell. The singer - songwriter - multi-instrumentalist - producer may be best known as the vocalist/bass player in the ELP spinoff, "3," with Keith Emerson and Carl Palmer, but his impressive list of credits goes for miles.
