It has been a chilly winter in the Bay Area this year. Let us warm you with food, wine, and song. For our 2020 gala benefit, we have a very special lineup of performers: our beloved artists mezzo-soprano Kindra Scharich and pianist Jeffrey LaDeur are joined by the wonderful Alexander String Quartet.
?Our program will conclude with a candlelit Part I of Schubert's "Winterreise", including "Gefrorne Tranen (frozen tears)", echoes of which are reflected in the slow movement of the Brahms Piano Quintet in F Minor, the magnificent four-movement work with which we will open our "Winter Journey".
LIEDER ALIVE! alumna and NYC cheesemonger Talia Trozzo brings her talents to our kitchen, preparing an enticing alpine fondue for our guests followed by a Les Gourmands traditional winter galette. In addition to the usual bubbly, we'll provide delicious wine and schnapps to complement the feast.
All tickets are just $75, and all proceeds support LIEDER ALIVE!'s concert series and educational programs.
