Info:
On February 6, the San Francisco-based Telegraph Quartet (Eric Chin and Joseph Maile, violins Pei-Ling Lin, viola Jeremiah Shaw, cello), winner of the 2016 Naumburg Chamber Music Award, makes its Lincoln Center debut as part of the Great Performers series at Lincoln Center's David Rubenstein Atrium. For this free, hour-long program, the Telegraph pairs Haydn's final quartet, the nobly optimistic String Quartet in F Major ("Lobkowitz"), with Britten's vast and monumental String Quartet No. 2. Described by the San Francisco Chronicle as "an incredibly valuable addition to the cultural landscape," the Quartet has a passion for standard chamber music repertoire and contemporary works alike.
