Info:
Barefoot Chamber Concerts ("an enterprise noted for both its quality and informality" - San Francisco Classical Voice) presents really good music in the right acoustic and without the formality of most classical music events.
The Barefoot Valentine's Day offering is sweet: a concert of sublime French trio sonatas by Jean-Fery Rebel, Francois Couperin, Jean Baptiste Senaille, and Jean-Marie Leclair combined with the flamboyant German sonatas of Dietrich Buxtehude and Johann Jacob Walther. All of these pieces harken from the magical years that marked the turn of the eighteenth century, and offer a rich palette of colors and styles to beguile the audience.
Come celebrate National Hallmark Cards day with stellar local baroque virtuosi Carla Moore, violin Elisabeth Reed, viola da gamba and Katherine Heater, harpsichord. This will be an event to remember!
There will, of course, be the usual Barefoot snax. Saint Mark's Parish Hall will provide the perfect place for this concert. Don't miss this!
