Early Morning Wildlife Hike August 27, 2022 - 7:30 am - 9:30 am
Brazos Bend State Park 21901 Farm to Market Rd 762 Needville, TX 77461
Let’s explore the park early in the morning and see how much wildlife we can see. Plus, beat some of the heat!
I’ll put together a checklist of items to find while we’re hiking. In the early morning, we should see a good amount of wildlife. Deer, alligators, bald eagles, crawfish, many kinds of birds, etc.
What to bring: - Water - Sun protection - Bug protection - Study shoes (we’re on real trails) - Snack
No Dogs or Kids Please. For our best chances to see wildlife, please leave your dogs home for this hike.
Fees: The event is free but there is a $7 per person entrance fee unless you have a State Park Pass. If you have a State Park pass, everyone in your car gets in for free. NOTE: Reserve your day pass online before the event. The park is selling out of day passes so make sure you reserve your day pass online BEFORE the day of the event. Reserve your park pass online here. (https://texasstateparks.reserveamerica.com/ ) (even if you have a state park pass.)
Parking & Meeting Location: Add an extra 10-15 minutes to get to the parking lot from what the map says. Maps bring you to the park entrance. Plan some time to check in and drive to the other side of the park. Park at Elm Lake and look for the signs for Bayou City Outdoors and HTXoutdoors.
