We hope so! Clerestory will be serving up a musical feast of choral works that embrace our irresistible desires for all kinds of gastronomical delights. From a Renaissance madrigal evoking the sounds of an open air food market in Paris, to the aroma of spicy chili in a Latin jazz arrangement, we aim to satisfy your musical cravings.
Just like food, music can be shared with others as an expression of love, and both eating and singing together helps us bond with friends-or even people we just met. Food and music both can bring us together through sharing of culture, celebration, and hospitality.
Join Clerestory on May 16th in SF and 17th in Berkeley for an evening filled with musical delights celebrating the food and drink that bring us joy and pleasure!
ABOUT CLERESTORY
The mission of Clerestory as a professional vocal ensemble is to engage, enlighten, and inspire both audience and performer by bringing the highest level of artistic excellence to a wide range of choral music for performances and recordings in the greater San Francisco Bay area.
We believe that the collaboration of individual voices together in a high quality chamber ensemble produces a stirring/thrilling experience of camaraderie amongst the performers that is then shared by the audience. The performance breathes life into each piece, uniting both singer and listener with the heart of the composer. Therefore, we value live performance, collaboration with other artists, and interaction with living composers. We also desire to make this music easily accessible by making free recordings available and keeping concert pricing affordable. And because we believe in the longevity of our mission, we aim for sustainability and wise stewardship in accomplishing these goals.
