Comic Arts Fest features story times, workshops, photo-booth fun, button making and hands-on activities that reflect the creativity and spirit of San Francisco's arts communities.
This year's Comic Arts Fest features local graphic author Wahab Algarmi, who will share his latest work, "Almost Sunset." Wahab is a writer and comic artist and has been creating comics and providing a community space for other artists in the San Francisco Bay Area for years.
The event also features special guests:
- Fred Noland, an Oakland-based visual storyteller in animation, comics and illustration, as well as an avid but unremarkable cyclist and a proud poppa.
- Jessica Jane Robinson, who embodies her comic superhero character, Resilience. She encourages fans to become leaders who actively reduce climate change, pollution and the depletion of natural resources.
- Mychal Threets, a librarian, literary ambassador and the Library's number one fan.
Swing by for lunch, storytime, an SF Cartoon Museum Workshop and more.
