Give your old jeans new life! In this creative summer class, teens will learn how to transform worn or outdated denim into a beach bag. Just in time for the beach! This class blends fashion, sustainability, and hands-on sewing skills.
We'll explore the art of upstyling-turning existing garments into fresh, wearable designs that reflect your unique style while helping reduce textile waste. No fashion experience necessary-just bring your imagination, your old denim, and get ready to stitch something amazing.
Skills Covered:
Denim deconstruction techniques Pattern remixing & basic alterations Hand & machine sewing Design planning for sustainable fashion Bring 1-2 pairs of old jeans (any size or style)
Hands- on instruction and sewing machines will be provided. (You may bring your own sewing machine to use if you have one.)
