This August, BATS Improv, San Francisco's premier improvisational theater company, invites audiences to experience the thrill of live competition with the return of fan-favorite "TheatresportsTM: Duos."
Every Saturday in August, at 8:00 PM, the historic Bayfront Theater at Fort Mason Center will transform into an arena of spontaneous storytelling and laughter. Under the direction of BATS Company Member Paul Killam, "TheatresportsTM: Duos" showcases the best of improvised theater as two teams of two performers face off in a series of fast-paced, audience-driven scenes and songs. A panel of expert judges will score each round, until the ultimate Champion is decided.
"Every show presents the ultimate judgement, between the glorious title of 'Champion' or the ignominious sobriquets 'loser', 'clunker', or 'dud.' says Killam. "The difference between heaven and hell for these brave warriors of spontaneity is often decided in the very last round by a single point!"
