An Afternoon of Color, Stories & Architecture at The Box SF
San Francisco's iconic Painted Ladies-and the people who preserve them-will take center stage on September 21st at The Box SF during "An Afternoon of Color, Stories & Architecture," an author talk and signing celebrating two new books: Bob Buckter: Architectural Color Design by Ben Zotto and Anson Moran, and Inside by Anson Moran.
Event: When: Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025, 2:30-4:30 p.m. Where: The Box SF, 1073 Howard St., San Francisco (TheBoxSF.com) Program: 2:30 p.m. author talk and book launch (light refreshments) 3:30 p.m. signing (light refreshments) With the purchase of either book, guests receive 20% off and an e-ticket to the event. Each ticket admits one person. Signed copies will be available for pickup at the event. Multiple copies may be purchased as gifts.
About the authors and Dr. Color * Bob Buckter ("Dr. Color") is the leading Bay Area Victorian house colorist, credited on more than 15,000 homes. He will personalize copies of Architectural Color Design upon request. * Anson Moran-a retired San Francisco city executive turned photographer-has spent nearly a decade documenting Victorian homes and their caretakers. Inside includes 321 full-color photographs across 296 pages. * Ben Zotto is a San Francisco research historian, engineer, and designer, and co-author of Architectural Color Design.
Venue: The Box SF The Box SF includes the Pressroom and Mercantile, home to one of the nation's largest collections of paper ephemera, with more than 15 million historical printed items and working presses dating to 1838.
