Litquake returns to the Main Library this fall with an exciting lineup of author events that coincide with the annual literary festival:

**Men in Love, 1850s-1950s: A Visual Conversation** - Oct. 15, 6 p.m.

A hidden photographic history of queer love comes into focus in "Loving II: More Photographic History of Men in Love, 1850s-1950s," a powerful new collection by authors and collectors Hugh Nini and Neal Treadwell.


**DVAN presents: The Future of Vietnamese Diasporic Writing** - Oct. 18, 3 p.m.
Main Library, Saroyan Space, 6th Floor

Marking 50 years of the Vietnamese postwar diaspora, this event features three members of the Diasporic Vietnamese Artists Network, Van Hoang (Silver and Smoke), Hieu Minh Nguyen (Ink Knows No Borders) and Christina Vo (My Vietnam, Your Vietnam) on the future of Vietnamese literature.

**Poetry as Resistance: Ahmad Shamlou's Enduring Voice** - Oct. 23, 6 p.m.
Main Library, Latino/Hispanic Meeting Room, Lower Level

Author and award-winning translator Niloufar Talebi joins renowned poet and publisher Matthew Zapruder to discuss Elegies of the Earth: Selected Poems by Ahmad Shamlou, a groundbreaking bilingual edition that marks the Iranian poet's centennial.
