Memory Becomes Currency in Silicon Valley's First Trading-Based Murder Mystery Puzzle Game.
Award-winning game designers and immersive experience creators launch "About Last Night..." where tech culture meets immersive theater at an escape room.
In a near-future Silicon Valley where memories can be extracted and traded, participants must decide what their past is worth. About Last Night..., a groundbreaking 2 hour immersive crime thriller merging escape rooms with role-play and memory trading mechanics, starts previews on Nov 9 and opens Dec 4 at Off the Couch Games in Fremont.
The experience draws inspiration from Jubensha, Asian murder mystery games emphasizing heavy roleplay, while incorporating distinctly Silicon Valley themes of venture capital, artificial intelligence, and the commodification of human experience. Each participant receives a unique character with connections to others - some as allies, others as rivals - forcing difficult choices about trust, loyalty, and the price of truth.
About the Creators: Patchwork Adventures, led by Shuai Chen, is an Immy and Golden Lock award-winning puzzle and game design company specializing in murder mysteries, escape games, game shows and scavenger hunts . Bora "Max" Koknar is an award-winning theater-maker and founder of StoryPunk, a creative studio specializing in immersive storytelling.
