Info:
If you've ever wanted to grow bold, beautiful dahlias confidently and keep them blooming all season long, this is your class.
Fabulously showy and endlessly generous, dahlias are the crown jewel of the summer garden. Join us at Marin Art and Garden Center for another installment of our How Does Your Garden Grow? hands-on lecture series, where garden expert Jill Sowards of Violetear Studio takes you inside the world of dahlias from first planting to final harvest.
Jill will guide you through the full seasonal arc - planting and feeding, deadheading and mulching, surviving heat waves, and reviving plants that need a little extra love. You'll also learn sustainable pest and disease management, including smart companion planting strategies that work with nature rather than against it.
BONUS! The session wraps with a live demonstration covering how to cut and condition your blooms for arranging, divide and store tubers for next year, and even collect seeds to develop your very own new varieties.
Whether you're planting your first tuber or looking to take your dahlia game to the next level, this workshop delivers everything you need for a season full of spectacular blooms.
Space is limited - reserve your spot and make this your best dahlia summer yet.
