You're invited to meet your neighbors and some of our finest local law enforcement and first responders as part of National Night Out at the Martinez Waterfront Park.
Waterfront Park is located at 245 N Court Street, Martinez. The event is free, and all are welcome.
The City of Martinez is partnering with local law enforcement, first responders and neighbors for National Night Out.
Several first responders will be at the event, including Martinez Police Department, Contra Costa Fire Protection District, California Highway Patrol, Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff, Search and Rescue and more.
There will be dancing to the Eagles live music by Midnight Flyer.
Food Trucks, safety demonstrations from local law enforcement agencies, CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) disaster preparedness information, free child ID kits, displays from local fire department and other emergency first-responders, face painting fun, an animal petting zoo and more.
National Night Out is a community-police awareness-raising event in the U.S., held the first Tuesday of August. The event has been held annually since 1984 and is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch in the United States and Canada.
