  Learn the art of pressing real flowers & plants directly into fabric to transfer their natural dyes into stunning, watercolor-like designs.

Nature makes the most beautiful patterns, and you just have to know how to coax them out. Join us at Marin Art and Garden Center where Jill Sowards of Violetear Studios guides you through the magic of botanical bundle dyeing on cotton scarves.

Jill will walk you through every step, from setting up your dye bundle, selecting and arranging botanical materials, and color-shifting techniques to customize your palette. You'll have time and all the materials needed to create two 20"x20" cotton scarves or bandanas during class, each as unique as the plants that made them.

BONUS! You'll take home your finished scarves plus a detailed handout covering all the materials you need to continue at home, step-by-step dyeing instructions, and a plant guide for color, including easy varieties you can grow in your own garden.

No experience necessary, just a love of plants, color, and making something beautiful. These make extraordinary handmade gifts, and you'll leave with the skills to keep creating long after class ends.
