Building skills, developing artistic voice, and creating a portfolio to be proud of... Does your teen love to draw? Are they interested in building a visual art portfolio? This 8-week Saturday series taught by artist and educator Barbara Pollak will cover the building blocks of drawing, seeing, and observing.
Participants will work with various drawing mediums-from graphite to charcoal to colored pencils to pen and ink to cover a wide variety of drawing techniques. Students will also have the opportunity to work on a larger, dynamic work to express their personal vision.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR Barbara Pollak is a Fine artist, Curator and Arts Educator based in San Francisco. Since 2016, she has focused on working with tweens and teens to develop strong art portfolios which emphasize creative exploration, conceptual ideas and personal vision. Most recently, she taught Drawing and Illustration Pre-College and Atelier classes at the California College of the Arts as well as individualized workshops in figure drawing and painting.
She received her BFA in Animation/Film from the Rhode Island School of Design and her MA in Arts Education from Boston U.
