Experiment with collage and watercolor techniques in this fun project-centered workshop to create your very own botanical collage.
You'll draw inspiration from the natural world of the Marin Art and Garden Center as well as art history and design to create plant inspired collages in this guided workshop.
No drawing or art experience is necessary to get a great result with this technique, which invites cutting and tracing. We'll cover color mixing with watercolors, discuss how a limited color palette can achieve a unified result, best practices for clean gluing and what makes a strong design composition. All art making materials provided. Participants should feel confident handling an X-acto blade, any children under 14 will be required to sign a waiver.
