It's time for Fall Open Studios in the Historic Benicia Arsenal! For over 30 years, Open Studios has invited the public to visit artists' studios and see their work. This Fall, over 40 artists will be showing their work in studios and venues in the Arsenal area. See your favorite artists and meet new ones. This festive art-filled weekend will feature painting, ceramics, jewelry, printmaking, photography, sculpture and more! Additionally, you can view the Art Solano 2026 exhibit at Arts Benicia featuring 38 Solano County Artists.
Maps will be provided for visitors to find artists located in the various buildings, all part of the old U.S. Army Arsenal, along Tyler, Lincoln and Grant Streets at IronHorse Furniture and Commandant's Lane. All are within a few minutes walk or a short drive. And there is plenty of free parking.
Benicia has long been known as an artist community. The Arsenal, especially, has been attracting artists and creatives for decades because of large, affordable studio spaces, as well as proximity to art colleges, universities and major exhibition galleries - stretching from San Francisco to Sacramento.
