Info:
The Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) is due to expire this September unless it is reauthorized again. Congress has a unique opportunity not only to continue successful and vital programs, but also to expand on ten years of progress to further the safety and stability of the lives of survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.
Allison Randall, Public Policy Specialist at the National Network to End Domestic Violence, will update us on current legislation preventing domestic violence and the enhancements that are being added to VAWA 2005. Come hear Allison tell us how we can actively support a strong and enhanced VAWA this year. Reservations are required for this event.
