The Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce’s Small Business Council will sponsor its next monthly “Lunch & Learn” meeting on Wednesday, October 12, 12:00-1:30 p.m. Shelly Green (Durham Convention & Visitors Bureau) will present “Branding Durham - Its Essence, Personality, and Values.” During this seminar you will learn about Durham’s unique brand and what branding really is (it’s more than just a slogan or tagline). A community doesn’t manufacture a brand…it already has one whether it wants to or not. We’ll talk about the components of Durham’s brand and how we capture this and reflect it back. We will also talk about ways that local businesses can weave this brand into their own brand for a connection to the place where they are located.
The Lunch & Learn series is free for members of the Durham Chamber of Commerce. Non-members are invited to attend one meeting for free however, there is a $10/meeting fee assessed for all additional meetings that a non-member attends.
