The Center for Black Women’s Wellness, Inc. hosts its 20Th Anniversary Celebration with founding members, prominent healthcare leaders and a FREE Health Expo for Atlanta’s women and families

ANNIVERSARY FESTIVITIES: • 20TH ANNIVERSARY AWARDS CEREMONY—features a keynote address by Byllye Y. Avery, founder of the National Black Women’s Health Project, and a musical performance by Shades of Pink, the first ever survivor´s choir made up solely of breast cancer survivors. Six of Atlanta’s leading health practitioners and advocates will also be honored for their shared contributions and achievements in women’s and minority health. Former WSB-TV news anchor and recent breast cancer survivor— JaQuitta Williams—serve as the event’s Mistress Ceremonies.
• CBWW’S ANNUAL WOMEN’S HEALTH EXPO— This FREE event offers Atlanta’s women everything from on-site health screenings and physician consultations to health fair vendors and interactive workshops. Funding from Susan G. Komen will support 25 FREE or low-cost mammography screenings on that day, which will be reserved for eligible uninsured or underinsured women. Mammogram screenings must be scheduled in advance—call Beverly Roseberry 404-688-9202 ext. 11.
