* You will be given strategies to help you prepare for the challenging law school experience prior to actually beginning your law school careers.
* You will gain a better understanding of how the financial aid process works, and how law schools determine who will receive scholarships and fellowships.
* You will receive information on money management, financial planning, and debt and loan repayment.
* You will become aware of the challenges of preparing for the bar exam and the importance of passing this high-stakes licensing exam.
* You will gain greater insight about different career paths you can pursue with a professional legal education.
* You will learn more about diversity issues particularly impacting African Americans in the law school environment.
* You will receive deeper perspective on how African American students can contribute positively to the law school inside and outside of the classroom.
* You will be given coping mechanisms for dealing with racism and discrimination in legal educational institutions and work environments.
* You will learn about what employers are looking for in summer and permanent legal positions, and how to approach the job search and interview process.
