Event Info: 

  The "Battle of the Bay Theatresports Tournament" is a five-round improv competition in which six teams of improviserssatirizing citizens of San Francisco, and the North, East, and South Bayscompete for judges' points.

A sample of the 2009 teams, comprised of BATS Improv's Main Company, includes:
* Love & Haight
* Sunset Surfers
* The Parnassus Heights Specialists
* Berkeley Authority Boosters
* North Beach Noir

In this tournament, two teams square off each night in performing improvised games, songs, or scenes based on audience suggestions. Judges award points and designate each night's winning team, which advances to the next round. The two finalists play on August 15 those champs will then play Los Angeles Theatresports (LATS) in the finale to BATS' summer festival in late August.
