Semi-annually the World Trade Center Institute hosts foreign professional from the former Russian Republics who come to the U.S. to meet with their counterparts, learn best practices in their field, and experience the U.S. culture first hand. The program is sponsored by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and aims at improving institutions and promoting open economies. All visitors are placed with home stay families for a three week period (August 6-27) to immerse in American culture and experience American lifestyle first hand. Memorable experiences are created for both visitors and hosts and the cultural and emotional enrichment from the interactions is priceless. Help share the warmth and hospitality of Baltimore by volunteering as a host family.
