Most of us have friends, family and colleagues that agree with us on just about every justice issue but immigration. Restrictionist views on immigration come from across the ideological spectrum. Yet most Americans recognize that we need a workable solution. How can we move away from polemics and toward a solution that makes sense? Come learn the most effective way to talk about this critical issue so that we can move forward with Comprehensive Immigration Reform.
Guest Speaker Shuya Ohno is the Assistant Director of Communications at the National Immigration Forum and serves on the communications team of the Reform Immigration FOR America campaign. Established in 1982, the National Immigration Forum is on the leading national immigrant advocacy organizations in the country with a mission to advocate for the value of immigrants and immigration to the nation. The Forum uses its communications, advocacy and policy expertise to create a vision, consensus and strategy that leads to a better, more welcoming America – one that treats all newcomers fairly.
