Enjoy an evening of original acoustic music with local musicians Laura Zucker, Coyote Grace, and Barnett & Newlon. This combination of musicians is sure to equal a magical musical night.
Listening to Laura Zucker's songs is like taking a long walk with a great friend on a winding pathnew yet comfortable surprises around every turn, words that are penned with the grace and vision that only a good storyteller possesses. Her live performances are engaging and her audience rapport is refreshingly honest and spontaneous. She has a superbly human quality about her that is both humble and effervescent. Laura gets back to basics and does them very well.
Coyote Grace, a folktastic phenomenon, is the result of combining one guitarist, Joe Stevens, a transman from Northern California, with one upright bassist, Ingrid Elizabeth, a sassy femme originally hailing from the hills of Southeastern Ohio. Together, they capture the eyes and the hearts of live audiences nationwide with their bluesy folkroots sound, sweet harmonies, poignant songwriting, and mid-song dance moves. Coyote Grace has shared the stage with such modern folk icons as Indigo Girls, Melissa Ferrick, Cris Williamson, and Lowen & Navarro.
Bev Barnett & Greg Newlon have a musical, life and spirit connection that lights up the stage. Fast moving, rootsy acoustic guitar blends with beautiful vocal harmonies to form a backdrop for lyrics that explore life, love and the pursuit of something real. Bev and Greg approach life without blinders and create music with joy, meaning and purpose. What you see ... and hear... is what you get. No secrets. In live performance, Bev and Greg speak from their hearts to the heart of the audience. The connection they have with each other seems contagious and soon the audience is sharing in tears and laughter as seen through the eyes of a very real relationship.
