The Market Place Institute (MPI) was established as a result of a need to position and empower African American business owners and non profits to build their capacity to get contracts and sub contracts to create jobs for their community where there is urban and rural development through stimulus dollars and other development initiatives.
MPI actively develops small businesses, ministries, organizations, corporations and governmental offices beyond their traditional walls by assessing their functions and providing practical information that will advance their productivity. MPI helps establish new and currently running businesses and organizations to strengthen their capacity to meet requirements for opportunities to contract and subcontract on major projects.
MPI Goals: • Provide keys to successful business development • Obtaining certifications and acquiring resources • Foster business partnerships through contracting and subcontracting opportunities • Create jobs within for profit and not-for-profit organizations • Provide proven practices and model tools to assist ministries who traditionally focus on kingdom messages
