Join us for a special crossover concert event, as musicians from the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra and the folkloric musicians of Trio Chaskinakuy explore the fascinating intersections of classical and folk music. Chamber music from around the world, ranging from the 18th century Austro-Hungarian Empire to the high plateaus of the Andean Cordillera. SFCO Composer in Residence and Latin Grammy award winner Gabriela Lena Frank will talk about her string quartet, Inkarri, and the multi-cultural forces that underlie her powerful and evocative music.
