As President and co–owner of Jack Frost DeWitt Food Brokers, Inc. of Buffalo, Dick directed his food brokerage company across the country from New York to Florida. After graduating from Bloomfield College with a Bachelor of Science degree and majors in Business Administration and Economics, he entered Officer Training School and earned a commission in the United States Air Force Reserve. As an Air Force staff officer, DeWitt earned the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and was the Deputy Base Commander of Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, Niagara Falls, New York. After 20 years of military service and managing his expanding business responsibilities, he completed his Air Force career in 1992. In 2002, after selling his business to a partner, Dick felt led of God to go in a new direction, one with more eternal significance than being, as he says, “just an ole fish peddler.” He joined the marketing staff of Marketplace Chaplains USA and for three years served as the National Client Expansion Director, telling the story of workplace chaplains caring for employees everywhere. Dick now serves as the President and COO of Marketplace Ministries Inc., the parent organization of Marketplace Chaplains USA.
