In response to the recent tragic teen suicides in our local community, and to provide an opportunity for parents to explore what they can do to help their teens become resilient, self-reliant and emotionally stable adults, local agencies and the Osher Marin shall present: A Community Parenting Forum: Helping Teens Navigate the Pace, the Pressure and Their Peers.
Guest experts, Madeline Levine, Ph.D. and Jeffrey Leiken, M.A., will be led in a discussion followed by an open Q&A moderated by Joanne Greene, Director of the Center for Jewish Life at the Osher Marin JCC and former talk show host.
Madeline Levine is a nationally known psychologist and author of the NY Times best-seller The Price of Privilege www.thepriceofprivilege.com, in which she explores the reasons why teens from affluent families are experiencing epidemic rates of emotional problems.
Jeffrey Leiken is President of Evolution Mentoring International www.leiken.com, and is a thought leader in raising youth into thriving adults.
This forum is free to the public, and is for adults only.
RSVP (not required, but appreciated) to the JCC by providing your name, email address and the number of adults who will attend by calling 415-444-8060 or e-mailing ctousignant@marinjcc.org.
