PROGRAM 1 December 4: Ops. 34, 51
PROGRAM 2 December 11: Ops. 74 (Terzetto for Two Violins and Viola), 81 (Piano Quintet with Roger Woodward)
PROGRAM 3 December 18: Ops. 96, 106
Under the auspices of San Francisco Performances, the Alexander String Quartet and Robert Greenberg have been exploring masterworks of chamber music in this unique Saturday-morning format for 15 years. Together they have explored the works of Beethoven, Mozart, Haydn and others, as well as surveys of more challenging composers such as Bartok and Shostakovich. The key to their success is a winning mix of top-caliber performances of complete works paired with Greenberg's high-energy, content-rich lectures. These Berkeley concerts are repeats of programs performed in San Francisco during the 2008-09 season.
Tickets to individual concerts in the Dvorak Berkeley Series are $35. Save 10% when you buy the whole series! For more information call (415) 392-2545, or visit www.sfperformances.org.
