Give your child the unique opportunity to explore how people around the world express themselves through dance! The DanceVersity World Dance Summer Camp is geared for ages 7-16 and appropriate for dancers of all levels. Each weekly session will include dances from the folk, classical, social and theatrical traditions within a large regional area. Eight different styles will be introduced each week along with a music and/or art session each day that is based on the day's dances and themes.

August 1st - 5th The Americas

This week features dances from Brazil, Cuba, Haiti, Mexico, Native America, Hawaii, Peru, and the Hip-Hop, Hollywood and Jazz styles.

August 8th - 12th Asia and the Middle East

This huge regional area offers many rich dance opportunities including Balinese, Indian Folk, Bollywood, Bhangra, Chinese, Tibetan, Persian, Central Asian ( Afghan and Tajik), Turkish Gypsy, Palestinian and Lebanese dabke styles.

August 15th - 19th Africa, Middle East and Europe

This week will feature many styles from Africa along with parts of the Middle East and Europe. They include: Zimbabwean, Guinean, Ethiopian, Morroccan, Tunisian, Egyptian, Jewish Yemenite, Israeli, Russian, Bulgarian and Turkish Roma.
